Blockshopper.com is a website that gathers public information from various counties all across the USA. All they simply have to do to get your information is by going to the property appraisers office either online or in person and there you go. People's information at your fingertips. AMAZING!!!
So if it's public information, why do I hate blockshopper.com?
Simply put, blockshopper has eliminated the protection barrier that was once there. Now instead of a person first having to know what state and what county you live in, now all they have to do is type your name in the search engine of google, yahoo or bing and Tadaaaa.
Your name along with the person who co-signed with you (if there is one), the property address and how much you purchased the property for will show up. If there are multiple addresses purchased under your name, those will show up as well. If you sell a home blockshopper will tell the whole world who and how much you sold it to. Also if your home was foreclosed on, blockshopper will publicly tell your dirty business that the bank took it over because you couldn't afford it anymore.
Their website optimization individual did such a good job. Seriously I'm not being sarcastic when I say a really good job because blockshopper is showing up on the first page of searches. (Let's find out who or what company did their website optimization and show them some love.)
I have sent many emails to be removed and they just don't want to remove me. They claim it being Public Records. Of course it's public records but not when they are profiting off of using my personal information. Since I am not a celebrity, public official or in the public eye, they have no right making money using my personal information.
So revenge is sweet!!! Enjoy everyone!!!
